I’m currently pursuing nominations for Apopka’s Grandmother of the year. Most of us know many women who either live or work in our community that deserves special recognition.
We need nominations. Anyone can nominate a special lady they know. The winner is honored and presented with many great gifts, $500 cash and they will always be recognized as one of our communities matriarchs.

I think any volunteer in your group would be a great candidate for this event.
Anyone can nominate any lady they feel deserves the title of Apopka’s Grandmother of the Year. The nominee must live or work in Apopka.
This is the 9th year we have honored these women. The winner is honored through the year – Christmas parade and other events. Last years nomination dinner had 300 in attendance.
I hope you consider nominating your special ladies for this honor. Deadline for nominations is Wednesday, April 21.
